Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center (MACTEC) is dedicated to offering high quality education in careers, technical skills, and academics to empower all students to positively impact our community. MACTEC’s programs include hands-on practice in professional settings, as well as opportunities for students to utilize their learned skills and knowledge in real-world situations. Our experienced teachers help prepare students for their future, whether it be higher education, trade school, military, and/or the workforce. 

Macon Area Career and Technical Education Center (MACTEC) serves high school students from the South Shelby, North Shelby, Atlanta, Bevier, Macon County R-IV (New Cambria), and Northeast Randolph (Cairo) school districts. In addition, MACTEC caters to adult learners who are pursuing certifications enabling them to transition directly into the skilled labor force.

All of us at MACTEC are here to help our students on their educational journey. Our goal is for all students to become well-rounded, functional members of society. We’re excited to be part of our students’ success stories!
